The Environmental Engineering Centre (CIS, Centrum Inżynierii Środowiska) conducts complex research and development work and provides services within the scope of environmental engineering and green economy. The Centre undertakes complex work in terms of new technologies and solutions that make it possible to limit the consequences of human influence on the environment, to support the protection of natural resources and to use them according to the principles of sustainable development and circular economy. The Centre's key field of activity is restoring the functional qualities of post-industrial areas. The research encompasses practically all factors that have an influence on the quality of the environment: from detailed analyses of individual elements of the environment, through assessments of the condition of soil, water, sewage and sludge and monitoring of degraded post-industrial land, to testing of agricultural and food products.
