Description of the action:

The EDAPHOS project promotes a holistic and innovative approach to the management of brownfield and degraded land, which will directly contribute to the implementation of the EU mission "Concord on Soil", including, in particular, its specific objective: "Reconstruction and reduction of soil pollution". EDAPHOS, guidelines for the reclamation and ecological reconstruction of contaminated land located in post-industrial and degraded areas will be developed. As part of the project, on 8 experimental plots (so-called DEMO sites), the land remediation process will be carried out using various phytoremediation techniques based on the so-called Natural Based Solution (NBS). An environmental risk assessment will be carried out for contaminated soils and possible development scenarios will be developed, taking into account the potential ecosystem services that regenerated ecosystems can provide. The approach to the process of remediation of contaminated land developed within the project aims to make the process of ecological restoration of land business venture.
