Representatives of the Central Mining Institute displayed active participation in International Mining Forum 2019, which took place in Katowice on April 11-12, 2019.
The main topic of this year’s conference was the presentation of transformations in mining in Poland and worldwide as well as the challenges faced by the industry. This particularly concerns the implementation and utilisation of modern technical and IT solutions in mines, the analysis of mineral resource management and the extraction processes.
One of the major sessions, on the subject of an independent roof bolting system, was held by the GIG director, professor Stanisław Prusek, and touched on issues such as the preparations to commence the operation of a bolter miner in the Budryk mine.
