On 21 September 2016, the Central Mining Institute hosted members of the British Trade Mission and representatives from the British Embassy in Poland.
This was an opportunity to share experience and to develop new business contacts. The main subjects of the meeting included new techniques and technologies applied in Polish mining and the issue of clean coal technologies. Nowadays, research concerning clean coal technologies together with the CO 2 sequence are the basis for zero-emission power generation from fossil fuels, which is one of the most important subjects in the research world. The Centre of Clean Coal Technologies was highly regarded by its visitors, including among others a representative of the IEA Clean Coal Centre, which is an international technical organisation operating with OECD. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Katowice, Bogumił Sobula.
Other members of the British Mission in Poland were representatives of companies such as: Genesys, SGS, Hargreaves, John Kings Chain, Trolex and CRU all of whom provide specialized business solutions, materials and equipment for mining companies.
We are impressed by the range of services offered by the Central Mining Institute. These are solutions with world-class quality, and we would like to cooperate with the Central Mining Institute in the global carbon market - said Rodrik Cave, CRU company.
