Laboratory of Air Protection

  • Research works in terms of:
  • technologies for the production and use of modern alternative fuels (briquettes, pelettes, process gas from gasification),
  • technology of manufacturing, modernisation and construction of boilers,
  • improvement of the quality of fuels for heat production processes in energy devices,
  • tests of the energy-emission efficiency of boilers and devices of heat production,
  • control measurements of the emission of dust-gas pollutants, including VOCs, into the air
  • measurements and testing the immission of dust-gas pollutants in the air
  • measurements and tests of concentrations of asbestos fibres in the air, in the environment, including in the area of buildings and objects from which asbestos is removed and in closed spaces, based on the results from the optical microscope calculating the spread of dust-gas pollutants in the air from technological emitters, from the combustion of fuels, from means of transport
  • Executing of programs for the removal of asbestos and products containing asbestos for municipalities
  • sampling the air in the environment in order to determine the quantity and/or the type of asbestos in the air on the basis of the transmission electron microscope tests
  • determination of types of asbestos in asbestos materials in transmission electron microscope
  • Tests and analyses of air samples in the scanning electron microscope to determine the type and/or concentrations of asbestos in the air
  • calculation of fees for the use of the environment
  • Conducting trainings in the following areas:
  • immission and emission measurements,
  • research of the working environment,
  • tests of concentrations of asbestos fibres in the air,
  • removal of materials containing asbestos.
