Impact resistance of pipes
The device for testing resistance to external blows TIR of the Hammel Maskin Fabrik company enables testing the impact resistance of pipes: PVC, PP and GRP.
Tests are carried out by using the round-the-clock method and staircase method.
- maximum fall height of 3 meters,
- mass of weights from 0.5 to 6.3 kg,
- temperature range from -20 to +40 oC
Creep ratio of plastic pipes
The stand is designed for testing the creep ratio of annular samples of pipes at room temperature.
The stand is equipped with:
- 9 measuring posts
- measuring system based on a microprocessor-based digital recorder (model DR-02)
- continuous recording of each sample strains and test temperature
Preparation of samples
Samples for testing are prepared by the method of pressing (moulding), cutting out, injection and casting. Cutting out the fittings takes place on automatic milling and tracing machine, and on the numerically controlled 2,5 D milling machine for precise elements of the KiMLA company. The numerically controlled milling machine performs machining with plain milling cutters and formed cutters of machinable materials on the basis of the CAD/CAM 2,5D and 3D design.
New polymer materials
The preparation of high-quality, modern polymer compositions and studies on conditions of plastics processing takes place in the Department of Material Engineering on the line for production of pellets, with the efficiency of 40 kg/h, equipped with the laboratory extruding press of the ZSE 27 HP -type of the Leistritz company, as well as injection moulding machine of the Arburg company of the Arburg Allrounder 270-210-500 type.
